Elaine Hendricks

Elaine has an extensive, 20-year professional background in the travel industry, with nearly three-quarters of her career spent in travel industry research and strategic marketing. She currently consults to international clients in the travel industry and functions as Chief Research Consultant and Project Manager for ISM and has also consulted to the automotive, publishing, and interactive video industries. She has built her reputation around the development of research approaches that deliver truly cutting-edge and actionable results. Elaine has broad experience in both qualitative and quantitative research on a wide range of issues, including brand image positioning, advertising campaign development, new product and program development, price elasticity, customer satisfaction, and performance measurement, tracking, and forecasting. Elaine gained much of her experience at Best Western International, where she was Director of Research and Strategic Marketing. At Best Western, her research and planning programs guided such key corporate activities as development of a competitive intelligence unit, a major brand repositioning, re-channeling of the company’s collateral distribution, and an overhaul of key marketing programs. As a key member of the company’s management team, she was also heavily involved in the planning and development of Best Western's new reservation system. Elaine’s list of clients in the travel industry includes Sheraton Hotels, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, REZsolutions, Best Western International and Manhattan East Suites. She has been a speaker at many travel industry research functions and has been interviewed in Quirks Marketing Research Review. Elaine is a member of the Qualitative Research Association.
